Who are the people we call mobile service technicians?

Who

If you’ve been around Safe for any amount of time, you’ve probably heard the term “Mobile Service Tech” come up in meetings or conversations. Behind every call answered and every problem solved is a dedicated group of service techs who keep critical equipment ready when it matters most. Our mobile service technicians handle everything from lighting and electrical issues to full pump rebuilds, along with preventative maintenance, pump testing, and DOT inspections.

Many of our technicians are certified Master EVT’s, bringing a high level of expertise and accountability to every job. While much of this work is performed on site at fire departments, some technicians operate primarily out of a shop. Our Tennessee locations are especially tech-heavy, supporting advanced diagnostics and complex service work, while other regions balance a mix of shop-based and in the field service. This approach ensures that we’re able to serve those who serve - nights, weekends, and in all kinds of weather.

Their days often start early- some as early as 5 a.m., and typically run 10-hour shifts. In Nashville, that demand is especially high due to the Nashville Fire Department account, requiring frequent after-hours response and added flexibility from our team.

When technicians are on site, they’re often working in full view of department staff- answering questions, explaining repairs, and maintaining professionalism under constant observation. It’s a demanding role that requires technical skill, patience, and pride in the work- qualities our service team brings every day to define what is “Finest Service.

Below is our team of mobile service techs at their respective locations. We’re grateful for them and the work that they do to keep trucks on the road.
