Where is our Oakboro shop?

From the mountains to the coast, the Oakboro team keeps trucks moving across all of North Carolina. With technicians spread across the state, their work doesn’t stay in one shop — it shows up wherever departments need it. It’s a team built on staying connected, staying ready, and getting the job done.

Serving the Whole State, One Call at a Time

Tucked into the heart of North Carolina, the Oakboro location may look like a small-town shop, but the reach of this team stretches across the entire state.

Since being acquired in January of 2024, the Oakboro team has built a service operation designed around one simple idea: go where the work is.

From the mountains in the west to the coast in the east, their technicians are spread out across North Carolina, with some working hours away from the shop. Instead of waiting for departments to come to them, the Oakboro team meets customers where they are, keeping trucks in service without unnecessary downtime.

Their work covers a wide range of departments and customers. From rural volunteer departments to larger cities like Asheville and Leland, and even commercial trucking operations, the Oakboro team supports anyone who depends on reliable equipment to get the job done.

Inside the shop, the work is just as steady. Preventative maintenance, pump testing, warranty work, chassis repairs, and parts support all flow through the doors, while mobile technicians handle service calls across the state.

But what makes Oakboro stand out isn’t just where they work.
It’s how they work together.

Each morning starts the same way. At 8:00 AM, the team connects. Technicians check in from across the state, talking through repairs, asking questions, and making sure everyone has what they need before heading into the day. No matter how far apart they are, the goal is the same: stay connected and stay ready.

Those meetings don’t just cover the work. Each week, the team takes time to walk through one of Safe Industries’ core values, talking about what it looks like in real situations and how it applies to the work they do every day. It’s a simple practice, but one that keeps the team grounded and aligned, whether they’re in the shop or three hours down the road on a service call.

Service Manager Chris, Parts Manager Shea, and Lead Customer Service Representative Alicia help keep that system running day to day, working alongside technicians both in the shop and across the field. Even with distance between them, the team stays connected, focused, and ready to respond.

At Oakboro, service isn’t confined to one building.
It’s on the road, in the field, and wherever a department needs help.

And across North Carolina, that work is what keeps departments ready.
